Loving the fan posters… Those of you that know Riddick, know how deadly and dark my characters can go. This portrayal of Dom is even more complex. Cipher played by the brilliant Charlize brought something out in Dom we haven’t seen or even dared to consider.
So there was a lot that happened on the 20th of January… as you know a US prez swap, The Return of Xander Cage… but what you don’t know is that I got a pilot for the new Chronicles of Riddick inspired TV show, Merc City on that date. I have just been so busy I have only just now had a chance to read it. Wow. We all know Pauline is too young for me to actually return to the Dark role of Riddick but this is kind of a big deal. Thanks to Universal for being great partners on this new DT written show.
You who have followed the saga though every chapter… the dark roads… the challenges, the brotherhood. In the next chapter Dom will face his darkest road yet…
See the trailer on my Facebook page. #F8
The arduous road to production, the challenging task of filming this latest chapter. The record breaking trailer debut and the shocked world at what the dark road implied… you Pablo have given me strength… purpose and resolve. I promised you we would make something you would be proud of and I pray that we have… miss you.
Family above everything!
The sorrow of seven… the dark road of eight… thank god the timing worked out in between to return to Xander. I know on January 20th you will have as much fun as I had making the movie.
One more week of playing Xander… Then I will transition into a darker place. Enjoying this fun, extreme and irreverent character while it lasts, but the Dom state is pulling at me… and the next chapter in the fast saga will be a dark, a very dark road…
The dark road ahead…
Your light will guide us…
He is one of those archetypes, that when you go into character… you close the door behind you.
I remember going through a dark moment during filming… It was a phone call from Pablo that pulled me from that Furyan state…
