As we are now less then 3 weeks away from the release of Bloodshot… I was reflecting over the weekend about what an incredible experience it was. The studio is singing its praises and talking about just how FUN the film is… but I can’t help but to think about how fun and what a great experience it was to film, in South Africa with the most amazing cast. Haha. This picture says it all, Guy Pearce… who was such a joy to work with and to create something unique, fun and compelling. There’s nothing better than working with people you have always admired.
Blessed, Grateful and inspired.
Picture says it all. So much love for this beautiful and incredible, multicultural queen. Tonight we celebrate her 30th birthday here in London! The world is a better place because of you @nathalieemmanuel, and I am blessed to call you my sister. I will love you forever!!!
I’m sure if you asked everyone in this picture if they would EVER think the fast and the furious would ever go from 1 to 8 – I’m SURE we all would know the answer…… Roman came in on part 2 but there would BE no Roman, Tej, Hobbs, Shaw, cypher, Mr Nobody, Little Nobody etc….. if it wasn’t for the original FAST CREW…… we’re all so grateful and humbled by your love and support cheers to the years and years of doing our BEST to keep you entertained…….. Vrooooooommmm!!!!!!!
As you all know I started acting when I was seven years old, and started bouncing in NYC when I was 17 to pay the bills. Failed the first time I came to Hollywood at 23 and then went back to NY to learn how to be a filmmaker because no one was giving me an opportunity to “make it”… I directed a short film called MultiFacial about a struggling multicultural actor trying to work in New York… I then came back to LA with my short film at 27 yrs old. At that time I would drive around with VHS copies of my short film in the trunk just in case I bumped into someone who could help me with my dreams. One day I was driving by the Four Seasons hotel when I saw one of my favorite actors walking into the hotel. Morgan Freeman… he was seriously one of my acting role models, I mean I remembered him from a show called Electric Company and always followed his career. This was my BIG chance, maybe I could after 20 years finally get noticed. So I pulled over, popped the trunk and ran after him to give him my short film…
Sunday night, twenty something years later, he stopped me, and began telling me the whole story of that day in front of the Four Seasons. Wow. It was so surreal! That is the moment that is captured in the picture of my previous post.
Fan art… This picture was from the wardrobe fitting… #xXxThursdays
I went into it I depth on today’s Facebook live… But here is the picture I was speaking about. Thank you Disney, Marvel and James Gunn for inviting me to the party. Proud of the whole GotG family.
Grateful, that you fans have all made Our saga what it is today. We hope to make you proud!
P.s. Since it was Pablo who first guaranteed F8… I posted Our last picture together on my Facebook page. Brotherhood.
First time anyone went Facebook live to half a million people while onstage at an awards show… Haha.
People’s Choice awards puts me in great company. Best picture nomination is just surreal. Thank you all for the love.
It is amazing the response from the journalists who I have been talking to for the last two days in New York. Today one wanted to see the dad bod. Haha.
I am wondering if I should show the picture… Body-shaming is always wrong!
What do you think?
Showing me a picture of the first time Pablo and I went to the restaurant he built in his back yard. Powerful. #vinstagram
