It is surreal to think we are only two weeks away from releasing Bloodshot… Here is an on set photo of Eiza and I in the first week of filming. She is incredible in the movie by the way. Remember I told you. Haha. March 13th!

When I say there is this surreal sense of family on our set I mean it. No two days have been the same. Haha. All love always.
For some reason I always believed that the first place I would perform live musically would be in La Romana at the amphitheater… well a couple of weeks ago that is exactly what happened and it was such a cool and surreal experience. Remind me to tell you about it. Photo con @nickyjampr minutes after we walked off stage. Haha. All love.
This weekend was a very special weekend. We celebrated the 10th year anniversary of Marvel cinematic universe. Every director, writer, producer and A list actor was there for a group photo. It was surreal… The harmony displayed by the whole Marvel family. And then this happened… and I was a child again. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the man whose comics I once collected would know me. Protect your innocence, for there lies your magic. Thank you Stan Lee.
Last night was so surreal… all the hard work, so many years… You all showed up in Times Square to show the whole fast Family your support and enthusiasm. Fast 8 will challenge the code of family started so many years ago…
As you all know I started acting when I was seven years old, and started bouncing in NYC when I was 17 to pay the bills. Failed the first time I came to Hollywood at 23 and then went back to NY to learn how to be a filmmaker because no one was giving me an opportunity to “make it”… I directed a short film called MultiFacial about a struggling multicultural actor trying to work in New York… I then came back to LA with my short film at 27 yrs old. At that time I would drive around with VHS copies of my short film in the trunk just in case I bumped into someone who could help me with my dreams. One day I was driving by the Four Seasons hotel when I saw one of my favorite actors walking into the hotel. Morgan Freeman… he was seriously one of my acting role models, I mean I remembered him from a show called Electric Company and always followed his career. This was my BIG chance, maybe I could after 20 years finally get noticed. So I pulled over, popped the trunk and ran after him to give him my short film…
Sunday night, twenty something years later, he stopped me, and began telling me the whole story of that day in front of the Four Seasons. Wow. It was so surreal! That is the moment that is captured in the picture of my previous post.
To see my bro directing Star Trek is somewhat surreal. We have spent many hours cementing the themes that have played out in the Fast saga. He has always been a great partner in willing to reach higher. The irony is that we now both have Paramount Blockbusters coming out. The trailer to the new xXx is attached to his print. Haha. Last night I had the pleasure of watching Star Trek Beyond with my family before heading back to the Fast 8 set… One word for you Justin…
Last Night was Surreal. The worlds favorite film… I can never thank you enough… I tried to hold it together, but when I saw the two awards… I went back in memory to the first award Fast won in 2002. I had just completed the first xXx and MTV and the early FF fans gave best duo to Pablo and I, for our work, the brotherhood we portrayed in the first Fast and Furious… Thanks for the love.
We make them with Our hearts.
First time anyone went Facebook live to half a million people while onstage at an awards show… Haha.
People’s Choice awards puts me in great company. Best picture nomination is just surreal. Thank you all for the love.
Last night was surreal. First of all we won the same award that Guardians of the Galaxy won Last year, and before I go up to accept… a big victory hug from the director of Straight outta Compton, who is directing F8! I couldn’t avoid the emotional tone in my acceptance speech. However I managed to just have fun when I presented the Hollywood song award later in the evening. Because the show was not televised I live streamed the second part on my Facebook page. Haha. Half a million people watched live from back stage with me. Pretty epic.
